To enhance member educational outreach, the California Transit Association hosted its first online, interactive forum (or "webinar") in April of 2008. In that inaugural webinar, Executive Director Joshua Shaw provided a primer on "How State Transit Funding Works," detailing the many programs and formulas that comprise state funding for public transit.
The Association strives to offer webinars twice each year, generally in the Spring and the Fall. These forums provide an opportunity for members to get detailed reports on issues of concern to public transit providers and suppliers in a real-time, interactive setting. Participation in webinars is limited to members of the California Transit Association.
