Nearly 50 Association members and interested observers took part in our September 3rd Webinar, entitled "Climate Change and Transit: What the Fight Against Global Warming Means to Public Transportation in California." Presenting remotely from Sacramento, Oakland and Los Angeles, presenters Kurt Karperos of the California Air Resources Board, Val Menotti of BART, and Tim Papandreou of L.A. County Metro provided participants an overview of Assembly Bill 32 (The California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006), the latest on implementation, and the perspective of public transit providers.
