Climate Change Task Force Meeting Open to Conference Attendees

The Association’s Climate Change Task Force, responsible for developing Association policy on climate change issues, continues to evaluate the impact of SB 375 on our transit agencies and provides ongoing policy recommendations for the Association on these state efforts. The task force will have a face-to-face meeting/working session as part of the Association’s Annual Fall Conference this September in San Diego. For those who would like to observe, this meeting is open to Fall Conference attendees and other Association members who are interested in climate change issues as they affect transit, and current developments in AB 32, SB 375, and federal efforts. The meeting will take place on the second day of the conference, Wednesday September 15th, at 1:30 p.m. at the San Diego Convention Center.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) recently released the Proposed Regional Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Targets for Automobiles and Light Trucks Pursuant to Senate Bill 375. CARB staff will bring the recommended targets before the CARB Board at its regular board meeting scheduled for September 23. Click here to read the full report.
