The Agency's Operations Division is currently seeking a Scheduler to be responsible for scheduling the District's bus service and developing runs for daily assignment of bus operators.

In this key role, the selected candidate will assist in the updating and maintenance of scheduling data in the Hastus scheduling software system; plan new service and service changes as needed, evaluate route changes, and serve on the Service Planning Committee; oversee all activities related to run cutting for the District; work with field scheduling staff to collect and analyze data further to developing effective changes in bus service; analyze and evaluate current service; and make presentations to SamTrans staff, local political boards, community groups, and various private and public agencies; and other duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates should have sufficient education, training and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Development of the required knowledge and abilities is typically obtained through, but not limited to: an Associate's degree with emphasis in business, finance or planning, and sufficient full-time experience in run-cutting or schedule-making process, or a combination of education and/or relevant experience demonstrating the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Must have good proofreading skills, be proficient in the use of word processing and spreadsheet programs, and have hands-on experience with automated scheduling and run-cutting software (such as Giro/Hastus).
